    Greek art is known today as “classical art”. Some of the most famous Greek architecture has been featured in the form of sculptures, pottery, or even temples built over 2,000 years ago in ancient Greece. We know about some of the Greek masterpieces that have been lost, such as writings, diaries and other relics of Greek history. Archaeologists and scholars have searched for the lost coins for centuries, without much success. Through art, the Greeks were able to integrate the fundamental principles of their culture and society. For the Greeks, art was a way to reach future generations. One thing the Greeks learned to master was Arete, which means excellence: it speaks of a person's development to reach their full potential in the expression of art. Greek architecture is another example where their creativity was reflected and displayed.
