Essay / Benefits of Smartphones - 1201
The average student has 27 apps on their phone, each very different and intriguing. A person can look around a college dining hall and see the majority of students with their eyes glued to their phones. Many of these students actively use an app just to pass the time; play a game, watch a YouTube video, or read articles. A student can get caught up in the apps and games available on their phone and lose track of time. These apps force students to stay up very late and get little or no sleep. It is more difficult for a student to participate actively and fully when they are sleep deprived; affecting their ability to take in the information presented to them and also impairing their memory. Although smartphones can affect students' mental attributes, it is believed that these devices can provide a wide variety of valuable resources for students.
