    There are many great writers from our past, but the one that stands out the most would have to be William Shakespeare. William Shakespeare wrote plays and other literary pieces in the late 1500s and early 1600s that we still read and study today. Some of his most famous plays that he wrote were Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Macbeth and Julius Caesar. He wrote a wide variety of plays ranging from poetry, tragedies and even comedies. Although William Shakespeare's writings were not as popular at the time, his work is very popular today and many people around the world still watch it today. At the time, William Shakespeare may not have realized what he was doing and was simply writing these plays because that was what he loved to do, but what he did was have a impact on our society to make it what it is today. By accomplishing all of the incredible things William Shakespeare did during his lifetime, he helped impact our society by changing our English language, inspiring a very famous murder that changed American history, telling us stories, influencing other writers and changing the world of theater. One of William Shakespeare's major impacts on our society was transforming our English language into what it is today. One of the ways he did this was by adding thousands of common words that we still use today. Some of the words he coined were rant, addiction, and horniness. You may not think much, but there are thousands of other words like these that we say and write every day without even thinking or knowing where they were invented or where they came from. Not only did he invent common words, but he also invented common expressions that were here and could be used at any time. Two of the phrases he coined were "Neither here nor there" (Othello) and "There is a method in my madness" (Hamlet)....... middle of paper..... . all the time and he also improved the grammar to make it easier to read and write today. His writings also influenced an assassin named John Wilkes Booth. It helped shape American history into what it is today. William Shakespeare also had messages in his stories. Today we make films based on the stories of William Shakespeare. Finally, William Shakespeare helped influence other writers and improve their writing.
