Essay / Architectural Design and the Importance of New...
Architectural DesignArchitectural Design (AD) was first launched in 1930 in the United Kingdom as an architecture-based journal. It was then just a British scene which then spread and became international. Architecture then experienced great revolutions from time to time. Several current trends in architectural design have occurred since its inception (Anderson, 2011). Architecture depends on current trends. It was comparable to any other art form, whether music, fashion design or painting. There is a strong demand for incorporating the latest and greatest advances in architectural design into modern structures. Many people would like their structures to conform to the latest designs, while still retaining a classic sense that will ensure the look is fashionable, whatever the year (Burden, 2000). Here are the most popular current trends. diploid in architectural design: Consideration of green environment: We all understand that we live in a world that is more environmentally conscious than ever before. The protection of our Mother Nature extends to architecture. It is evident that more and more architects are trying to adopt eco-friendly elements in their designs. This includes selecting materials that don't leave much of a carbon footprint. Most places have enacted laws that most architects govern, such as efficient use of land and energy, filtration of storm water, reduction of waste, use of the natural landscape, and minimal disruption of habitat (Association of Cost Engineers, 1999). Embracing Honesty in Designs: Architectural honesty extends to the size of the house. More and more buyers are choosing somewhat smaller, mid-sized houses with this mass of large-scale houses...... middle of paper ...... red to spend a lot of time in the museum (Douglas & Mcintyre Ltd. 1996). The presence of artists such as Emily Carr, Paul-Emile Borduas and Joyce Wieland guides visitors through the history and evolution of Canadian art. The Canadian Collection and the Collection of Masterpieces of European Art were excellent sources of knowledge for students (Routledge, Nasgaard & Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, 2008). Additionally, they house works by some of the art world's most famous names, such as Auguste Rodin, Claude Monet, Edgar Degas and Paul Cézanne. Time was also saved exploring the contemporary art collection with its range of works from the 1960s to the present day. It is at the AGO that no one can ignore the impressive collection of 40,000 art photographs (Routledge, Nasgaard & Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, 2008).
