and high school in Thailand teaches that students are different. My school in Thailand is rather strict that students must have good behavior, for example, students must respect teachers, so it is not appropriate to argue with the teacher or when you are talking with the teacher , you should not be higher than the teacher. For example, if the teacher is sitting on a chair, you should kneel. However, the United States did not have this type of culture, meaning the gap between teacher and student is narrower and students are not afraid to ask questions. My school does not have any after school activities. Students can only play sports in gym classes which have only one class per week. But in the United States, they organize extracurricular activities. I joined basketball during the winter season and lacrosse in the spring. It was my first time playing lacrosse. Lacrosse is the best sport I've ever played, it was a great time when I was on the lacrosse team. My coach taught me a lot of things, not only about how to be a good lacrosse player, but also how to become a good person. She never got angry when my team lost but she always said something to motivate us. My coach told me, “It’s not the number of goals you score that matters, but the friendships you make.” It made me realize that even I had won all the matches but I was not happy with my teammate, all the success was worthless.
