Something that could resemble a third world war and would be the closest thing to a nuclear war. The Cuban Missile Crisis, a conflict between the United States and the Soviet Union over nuclear weapons. It definitely scared the whole country. Everyone saw what they did with the nuclear bombs and the effects it caused. No one wanted this to happen to us, and I wouldn't blame them. I chose an individual level of analysis, primarily to focus on the thought process behind it, human decision-making in a crisis, waves of emotion, and strong and powerful leaders. After A U2 spy plane secretly photographed a nuclear missile being built by the Soviet Union on the island of Cuba. The Americans had to take matters into their own hands to determine what we were going to do. John F. Kennedy was in power at the time.
