Human Resources ManagementThis module on human resources management reinforced some things I have already learned about human resources management, but more importantly, it introduced the changes that have occurred since my last exhibition on this subject. Technical advancements in using the Internet as a source resource for employees is a major change since my last exposure to this topic. Another area of change is the trend toward employee outsourcing. I managed an outsourced company that was hired to perform services on Xerox equipment in a specified territory. The type of work was exactly as the manual described a repetitive type task. I learned from the text the reasoning and the net improvements the company achieved through outsourcing. Overall, this module was a learning experience and a good reinforcement of concepts I knew but hadn't used in a while. The topics I have chosen to focus on in this position paper are recruitment and selection, equal employment opportunity, and affirmative action. and human resources planning. I believe these topics are important not only to the HR manager, but also to the front-line managers of the organization. Managers who understand these concepts can help the company achieve its human resource management goals and develop the manager's human resource management skills. When company leaders understand HRM objectives, they can better articulate and fulfill their responsibilities to include the direction of the company. Today's HR issues require the support of company managers to collectively implement change and attract future candidates. Recruitment and selection The recruitment process includes the search for alternative solutions to the people who work there. They didn't plan to lose. Finally, an HR manager who follows global market trends will continue to follow the global job market. Human resource managers must continue to expand their knowledge and understanding of the global market in order to keep their business abreast of new developments and trends. I expect that I will continue to keep abreast of changes in the human resource management process. By keeping my skills current in the recruitment and selection process, I will be able to make informed hiring decisions on behalf of the company. Continuing my interest in key legislative changes will help me maintain a current skill set to make positive employee decisions. Finally, understanding human resource planning strategies will allow me to improve my effectiveness as a manager..
