GWU is also a very military friendly school. I know this because I have spoken to a few members of the armed forces who attended GWU and they all spoke highly of GWU. So, having the opportunity to pursue an online MBA degree at a school that promotes academic excellence was one of the main reasons I applied. GWU is also located in a region that will give me many opportunities to network with people in the Washington, DC area, including the opportunity to learn from influential speakers who can make me a better leader. I am applying specifically to be accepted into an MBA program with a concentration in consulting. My career in the Air Force has exposed me to multiple scenarios, setbacks, and accomplishments. These situations intrigued me to pursue a civilian career in consulting. I am currently the primary consultant to the Component Maintenance Squadron Commander on all deployment requirements and logistics planning. My ability to remain attentive and alert in many environments has produced exceptional results for my team as well as myself. So I think an MBA with a concentration in consulting will be an essential tool for my future career choice once I leave the industry.
